Hatfield Temple is proud to announce that attorneys E. Hood Temple, Alec Hogsette, and Edward Henderson have been selected to the 2024 South Carolina Super Lawyers List. A division of Thomson Reuters, Super Lawyers is a rating service of outstanding lawyers who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. Attorneys are selected from more than 70 practice areas and all firm sizes, assuring a credible and relevant annual list.

Less than 5% of South Carolina lawyers are selected by Super Lawyers.

Less than 2.5% of South Carolina lawyers under the age of 40 are selected as Rising Stars.

The annual selections are made using a patented multiphase process that includes a statewide survey of lawyers, an independent research evaluation of candidates, and peer reviews by practice area. Each candidate is evaluated on 12 indicators of peer recognition and professional achievement. Selections are made on an annual, state-by-state basis.

The objective of Super Lawyers is to create a credible, comprehensive and diverse listing of outstanding attorneys that can be used as a resource for attorneys and consumers searching for legal counsel. The result is a credible, comprehensive, and diverse listing of exceptional attorneys.

Attorney E. Hood Temple was recognized on the 2024 South Carolina Super Lawyers list. Attorneys Alec Hogsette and Edward Henderson were recognized on the 2024 Super Lawyers Rising Stars list. Hood, Alec and Edward are all civil personal injury attorneys. The Super Lawyers lists are published nationwide in Super Lawyers Magazines and in leading city and regional magazines and newspapers across the country. Super Lawyers Magazines also feature editorial profiles of attorneys who embody excellence in their practice of law.

Lawyers cannot nominate themselves and are prohibited from campaigning to be included as a Super Lawyer

A judge who reviewed the Super Lawyers selection process said the following:

“It is absolutely clear from this record that [Super Lawyers does] not permit a lawyer to buy one’s way onto the list, nor is there any requirement for the purchase of any product for inclusion in the lists or any quid pro quo of any kind or nature associated with the evaluation and listing of an attorney or in the subsequent advertising of one’s inclusion in the lists.”

“Hood and I are incredibly honored that our firm continues to receive recognition from this prestigious national organization. We are proud of the work this firm does for each of its clients. Being recognized once again on the Super Lawyers list is a true honor, but nothing compares to the excitement of welcoming another one of our attorneys to the list this year. Our firm’s relentless pursuit of excellence and commitment to the community only grows stronger, paving the way for greater achievements ahead. We are humbled by the level of respect this award represents and will continue to be professional in the pursuit of justice on behalf of our clients and their families” said Attorney Alec Hogsette.
